The 1st Annual Cystic Fibrosis Adult 5K Run and a Kid Fun Run allow all to participate in a benefit run and earn an inaugural t-shirt; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies. Adult 5K Run registration 6:30 a.m. with $15 fee at Union City High School (run to Kiwanis Park). Kid Fun Run registration - 7:30 a.m. with $10 fee at Kiwanis Park; the 8 a.m. run will be posted near areas of the Kiwanis Park. For more information contact Laney Rogers here. CornFest Wheels in Motion Bike Ride

Want some fun physical activity that you can enjoy with the whole family. Try CornFest's "Wheels in Motion" bike ride. Note that this is not a competitive race and no trophies will be awarded. Minors must be accompanied by their parents.   Leaving the Chuch of Christ at Exchange St., participants will follow a route to Graham Park and through the Knox Daniel Community and then return to the Church of Christ at Exchange Street. When you or your family feel they’ve gone half as far as possible, turn around and head for the Obion County Career Technology Center in the Industrial Park on North 5th Street for refreshments and goodies donated by local businesses (t-shirts, water bottles, etc.) Application deadline: September 22nd. Pets in the Park

Be sure to line up at 8:30 a.m. for a chance to enter your pet in one of several great categories, including Cutest, Best Costume, Most Obedient, Most Unusual, Funniest, and Owner/Pet Look-a-like. There's also a special category for  Pet-less child in costume carrying stuffed animal. Winners in each category will receive a trophy, and all participants will receive a ribbon. The first 50 entries will also receive a "Pets in the Park" T-shirt by local artist! One entry form and $5 registration fee required for each pet. Entry forms are available here or at the Main Street Office on Depot Street.  Please make sure are pets and children are supervised at all times and that all pets are properly controlled.  Owners are expected to clean up after their pets. Commercial Bank Kid's Day

Come to a morning full of fun for kids grades K-6 and their parents.  Meet your local policeman and get fingerprinted for safety certification or meet your local firemen and explore the fire truck. Free face painting, balloons, coke and popcorn for all kids. Entertainment by the Magical Minks. BBQ Judging

"Creative Chair" Silent Auction Fund Raiser

Use your imagination to decorate or design a unique chair using paint, fabrics, or whatever you want, to be sold at the Art in the Park event. Ladder back, Adirondack, new or antique chairs are acceptable, but recliners are discouraged. Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are welcome. Applications are available here and must be submitted by September 10th. Please drop the chair off at Penelope's ( 230 First Street, Union City) by noon Friday, September 28th.
