Each contestant will compete in interview, evening gown, talent, and swimsuit categories. As a preliminary to the Miss Tennessee America Scholarship Pageant, all Miss America eligibility rules apply. This beauty pageant is open to all young ladies and girls in the following age ranges, as of September 14, 2008:
| Petite Miss CornFest - 2:00 p.m.: Ages 4-6 |
| Little Miss CornFest - 3:00 p.m.: Ages 7-9 |
| Young Miss CornFest - 4:00 p.m.: Ages 10-12 |
| Junior Miss CornFest - 5:00 p.m.: Ages 13-15 |
| Miss CornFest - 6:00 p.m.: Ages 16-21 (A West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Preliminary) Only advance registration accepted for this pageant. |
