Each contestant will compete in interview, evening gown, talent, swimsuit, and casual wear categories. As a preliminary to the Miss Tennessee America Scholarship Pageant, all Miss America eligibility rules apply. Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 24. This beauty pageant is open to all young ladies and girls in the following age ranges, as of September 9, 2007:
| Petite Miss CornFest - 2:00 p.m.: Ages 4-6 |
| Little Miss CornFest - 3:00 p.m.: Ages 7-9 |
| Young Miss CornFest - 4:00 p.m.: Ages 10-12 |
| Junior Miss CornFest - 5:00 p.m.: Ages 13-15 |
| Miss CornFest - 7:00 p.m.: Ages 16-21 (A West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Preliminary) Only advance registration accepted for this pageant. |

This talent contest is divided into a Youth division(12 and under) and an Adult Division(13 and over). The 1st place winners of each division will receive a cash prize and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners-up will receive trophies. The entry fee is $20 per act and is limited to the first 12 entries.
